Your and your children's safety and well-being is our priority.
From the beginning, in addition to making use of consultancy with professionals working in the field of childcare,
MHUG wanted to have its products tested in accredited laboratories,
even for parameters not currently required by European law.
On MHUG baby carriers are carried out:
- Physical-mechanical tests, to ensure the tightness and durability of the products
- Chemical tests, to ensure that the fabrics do not contain potentially toxic substances
- Flammability tests
UL-ICQ first analyzed our products to evaluate any possible risks
with a team of experts through a risk assessment procedure .
In the absence of specific European legislation (where regulatory work is still ongoing),
proceeded to carry out a specific test protocol,
which would allow to evaluate the compliance of the products with the currently existing non-European legislation,
protocol developed to ensure greater product safety.
The tests carried out gave compliant results.
Tested and safe fabrics
The criteria with which we select our textile suppliers are very strict: safety, quality, professionalism .
We ask our suppliers for certain proof of the non-toxicity of the dyes and adaptation to the Reach regulation
(it is the regulation for the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals).
Depending on the products, therefore, we use fabrics that are free from harmful chemicals and allergens
with parameters that comply with the community regulation or with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification
or the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) , recognized as the most important international standard
for the certification of textile products made with natural fibers from organic farming.
Thanks to a project co-financed by Promos, we have also commissioned further tests on textiles from an Italian excellence:
For the accessories (MHUG Warm! and MHUG Poncho) we use, together with 100% cotton:
Mirhon Newlife® is an environmentally friendly thread, 100% made in Italy
Newlife™ is a unique, complete and certified system of recycled polyester continuous yarns
100% derived from post-consumer plastic bottles collected and processed entirely in Italy,
starting from the polymer, obtained through a mechanical and non-chemical process,
up to the production of the thread, through exclusive local production partnerships.
